MySQL Connector/Python

License question

I've completed a prototype using this and it works well. I'd like to move ahead but unfortunately portions of our product are commercial, so I'm unable to use the GPL license.

We're working well under the Apache license. Any chance the next release could also include the ASL?

MySQL Connector/Python is, like most MySQL software, licensed under the GNU GPL v2. It is unlikely this will change.

Thanks. We've selected another python package that allows us to embed the database code in our commercial product, which would violate the terms of GPLv2. I liked yours better, but this one is working fine. Too bad...
