Can we deploy murano package on existing VM/Instance?

Asked by Anjali Pathak

As per my understanding, Murano always create a new VM or Instance while deploying a package, but i want to Know could it be possible to deploy package on running VM/Instance instead of creating new one?

Hi Anjali, unfortunately this is not possible.

To be honest it should be possible under specific circumstances.
1) You need to have murano agent installed and configured correctly on VM
2) You need a specially crafted package, that would allow you to select VM from #1

So it is possible, but it would be a really-really labour intensive and time consuming process. Thus effectively Serg's answer is correct.

Hi Kirill Zaitsev

As suggested by you I have murano agent installed and configured correctly on VM and i have create a package which select the running VM. But i am not able to deploy package on it. could you please suggested how can i deploy package on my existing VM or what change should be done to deploy the package on selected VM.

Does murano have existing code to deploy create instances of running VM?
