Any plans to get the extension related stuff into Debian?

Asked by Sveinung Kvilhaugsvik

Have you considered to upload the extension related parts[1] of mozilla-devscripts to Debian? Since xpi.mk takes care of installing extensions to the correct paths it would reduce the work needed to merge extensions from Debian that adopted it to only changing debian/control in many cases. If you created something like ${mozilla:browser}[2] that would fill inn the correct Depends in debian/control it would be possible[3] to simply sync extensions that would use it without merging. If you haven't already discussed this idea: where would be the best place for me to suggest it?

1) xpi.mk, med-xpi-pack, med-xpi-unpack, there could be others I have missed
2) and ${mozilla:email}, etc named in a way Debian could accept
3) or is possible if it already exists and I have overlooked it
