Doesnt start, ubuntu 9.04 32bit with ATI HD3300 onboard

Asked by Alberto Cruz

Hello:

I installed Moovida using the instructions of somebody else that got it to work:
http://oscartux.wordpress.com/2009/06/04/como-instalar-moovida-en-ubuntu-9-04/

When I run Moovida from terminal using: moovida &

I get:

[code]
elpirata@elpirata-desktop:~$ moovida &
[1] 4628
elpirata@elpirata-desktop:~$ Launcher core version: 1.0.1

I can see the splash screen of Moovida saying the version but after that nothing at all shows up again. In the process list... Moovida shows up and whenever I've tried to kill it... it just leaves it as Zombie status using 50% of the CPU. I made sure that compiz is off but still doesnt work.

I noticed the line that says that Hildon isnt running and check with synaptic if it was installed, and it isnt, but havent tried to install it because it says that's for Embedded Environments.

What am I doing wrong?

Albert

Not solved, but uninstalled and went with XBMC :) I was surprised that it worked.
