I'm not using ubuntu Notify-OSD, but regarding the typical standard notification it will last as long as you are keeping the mouse over it.

Is this the case in ubuntu Notify-OSD ?

What do you mean by notify-OSD is it the new way of displaying notification in ubuntu ? If it the case, Yes I'm using ubuntu 9.10. When I put the mouse on it, it is blured, so I can not read. Thanks

I'm using fedora, which uses the *standard* notification daemon

as you can see in this screenshot there is a timer pie, it stop ticking when you hover over the notification bubble

if you feel this is wrong, then you might what to ask El-Mahmoudy, he's the one who ported monajat to work with ubuntu's notify-OSD.

you first need to know if this is a bug in ubuntu's notify-OSD or if there exists some option needed to be passed in such distros.

BTW: you may ask monajat to display the last thikr, or ever the one before it and so on

you may also use monajat screenlets, which is stick into your desktop

I think that this is the way ubuntu's notify OSD works, so I am going to have a look at the screenlet.
