moderncv

line break within "item"

Hi,

I have been trying to introduce a line break within an "item" while keeping the same indentation for the next lines but thus far I receive the following error message:

Missing } inserted.
Missing { inserted.

and the Latex source I'm using is something like this:

\cvitem{}{AuthorName Sourname et al. \\
Dependence on the growth direction of the strain in alloys.
Journal of Physics: Conference 2009}

Any ideas?

Use \newline{} rather than \\.
