Italic page numbers

Asked by fr1a1nky on 2013-03-17

Hi Xavier,

are the page numbers meant to be italic? In my opinion footer and page number font should be the same. OR there should be a separate page number font.

From moderncv.cls:
[...]
\settowidth{\pagenumberwidth}{\color{color2}\addressfont\itshape\strut\thepage/\pageref{lastpage}}
[...]
\fancyfoot[r]{\parbox[b]{\pagenumberwidth}{\color{color2}\addressfont\itshape\strut\thepage/\pageref{lastpage}}}}
[...]

So I would remove the \itshape in both lines.

Thanks,
Frank

Yes, it is meant to be this way. The footer and the page number (I assume you are using the "casual" style) contain two very different type of content (the footer contains "absolute" personal contact information while the page number is a "relative" cue to help navigate a document, "absolute" and "relative" as related to the presentation format), so I don't see why they should be using the same font.

But as you figured out, you can change the font if you don't agree me with :)

To make it easier, I will make the page number use a specific font, say \pagenumberfont, in the next update.

Can you help with this problem?
