Icon location

Asked by David Reed

I was curious where the icons are stored that are placed next to the address, etc. I am interested in removing them, but am also just curious in how they are added.

Hi David,

The icons (I assume you refer to the ones used in the classic and casual styles) are not pictures and are not "stored" anywhere, they are by the marvosym font / package. You can easily change them by redefining the commands that refer to them inside moderncv, i.e. \listitemsymbol, \addresssymbol, \mobilesymbol, \phonesymbol, \faxsymbol, \emailsymbol and \homepagesymbol.

Just redefine them to what you like, or to nothing if you want to remove them completely.

Kind regards,

Xavier
