Importing Q/A and learning progress from Supermemo2006

Asked by Sergey

Is there a way to proper import Q/A and learning progress from Supermemo2006?

I tried to export as XML from supermemo2006. But as I was trying to import in back to Mnemosyne the "ok" button just didnt do anything.

Did you follow the guide here: http://www.mnemosyne-proj.org/help/importing.php

Do you have the latest version?

If you are under Windows, uninstalling and reinstalling could sometimes help.

Yes I have the latest version.
If I export from supermemo 2006 and allow HTML, Mnemosyne doesnt comprehend HTML at all:

<FONT face=Arial color=#080000>notoriously</FONT></P><P>they're notoriously difficult to terminate.

If I export as plain text, without HTML, special characters are all screwed up.

About the html tags, that has been discussed in the mailing list a while ago. If you do a search and replace of &lt; with < and of &gt; with >, they won't show up when you review the cards.

Granted, it's not ideal, but unless someone comes along and writes a better importer, that is the situation at the moment.

There no &lt; and &gt;

Example:

Q: <FONT face=Arial color=#080000>Bezeugung</FONT><P><FONT face=Arial color=#080000>&nbsp;A declaration by a witness</FONT>
A: <FONT face=Arial color=#080000>testimony</FONT></P><FONT face=Arial color=#080000><P><FONT face=Arial color=#080000></FONT>&nbsp;</P></FONT>

Q: gutgl&#228;ubig...</P><P>Made or carried out in good faith </P><P>&nbsp;
A: <FONT face=Arial color=#080000><P>bona fide</FONT>

I did see them in your second message, so I guess it must have been something this site did to your message.

But as I already mentioned, the SM importer could use some tender loving care.

Can you help with this problem?
