Controlling LaTeX rendered font size

Asked by Rob Williamson

I'm making flashcards for a collection of financial engineering formulas. I'm unable to control the LaTeX rendering font size using the usual tags. For example, \tiny PV^{Ex-dividend}_{Firm} = PV_{Firm}-\pi_0 = \pi_0\left(\frac{1+g}{i-g}\right) is very large. Is there another way?

Thank you!

I'm not an expert in Latex, but I suggest you first try to make it work outside of Mnemosyne. Look for tmp.tex in your Mnemosyne latex directory, and edit it such that it works using just latex.

Another thing you can try is editing the dvnipng command Mnemosyne uses. Default it's

dvipng -D 200 -T tight tmp.dvi

but changing the 200 to other values will also have an effect on size.

If you can't find these settings or files, let me know whether you're on 1.x or 2.x and I'll help you find them.

Can you help with this problem?
