cannot open MEM database

hi, i have been using the program for over a year now to study prescriptions. today, it doesn't seem to open the file with the following error message:

Invalid file format.

Traceback (innermost last):

File "mnemosyne\core\mnemosyne_core.pyc", line 1029, in load_database
BadPickleGet:

is there anyway to restore it? I would really appreciate any help and wouldn't mind sending the file itself to be looked at. any help would be appreciated. I tried to reinstall the program, to no avail. thanks!

Probably your disk got corrupt. Just restore from a backup you made yourself. Otherwise, there could also be backups made by Mnemosyne in C:\Documents and settings\tienvu\.mnemosyne\backups. Uncompress it, open a new database, and import the html.
