What about the Translation of MPlayer into Japanese?

Hi,

 I am a new community Japanese translator in Ubuntu. I was looking for the Japanese Translation status of MPlayer Media Player and found that translation set up is required. Can you please let me know whether it is required to translate the same and if yes what is the procedure for same.

There is no .po/.pot files available to translate, because mmc is not ready for use. It is now only not working and buggy piece of code.
