xone:K and Mixxx 2.0

Asked by Stephen

Hy,

I'm using mixxx 2.0 on xubuntu 16.04 with a A&H xone:K2. The controller is normally compliant with mixxx 1.1 (http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/hardware_compatibility) but i meet problems with the 2.0.

- When Mixx is started by launcher, it don't start and stop before the Mixxx windows.

- When Mixxx is started by command line the process stops here:

Debug [Main]: guess the size of the window decoration
Debug [Main]: DlgPrefVinyl::Apply
Debug [Main]: in VinylGainSlotApply() with gain: 0 dB
Debug [Main]: SoundManager::setupDevices()
Debug [Main]: SoundDeviceNetwork::open() "Network stream"
Debug [Main]: framesPerBuffer: 1024
Debug [Main]: Requested sample rate: 44100 Hz, latency: 23.22 ms
Debug [Main]: SoundDevicePortAudio::open() "2, XONE:K2: USB Audio (hw:1,0)"
Debug [Main]: framesPerBuffer: 1024
Debug [Main]: Requested sample rate: 44100 Hz, latency: 23.22 ms
Debug [Main]: Output channels: 4 | Input channels: 0
Debug [Main]: Opening stream with id 2
Debug [Main]: Opened PortAudio stream successfully... starting
Debug [Main]: Dynamically loaded PortAudio library
Note: nonZeroCount was 62468, is now 62424
Expression 'alsa_snd_pcm_prepare( stream->playback.pcm )' failed in 'src/hostapi/alsa/pa_linux_alsa.c', line: 2920
Expression 'AlsaStart( stream, 0 )' failed in 'src/hostapi/alsa/pa_linux_alsa.c', line: 4212

Mixxx needs two or three tries (by command line) before to start and run. I've tried this (http://mixxx.org/wiki/doku.php/troubleshooting#mixxx_says_my_sound_card_does_not_support_the_sample_format) but without success.

Can you give me a solution or explain the problem.

Regards,
Stephen

Looks like there may be a problem with one of your audio devices.
Try moving your ~/.mixxx/mixxx.cfg file out of the way and let us know if you can start Mixxx then. (This will clear all of your configuration settings.)

Thank you for the answer. Unfortunately, nothing changes. Can not start Mixxx with the launcher. This is only possible with the command line after the second test (he first test stops before Mixxx's windows).
