mixxx error on starting

Asked by Daniel Larson

So when I start Mixxx, an error message pops up. Here it is:

Errors linking simple shader: “Vertex info
-------------
Internal error: assembly compile error for vertex shader at offset 0:
--error message--
line 1, column 1: error: program type not supported on this hardware
--internal assembly text--
!!NVvp4.1
#cgc version 2.1.0000, build date Jul 8 2009
#command line args:
#vendor Nvidia Corporation
#version 2.1.0.0
#profile gp4_1vp
#program main
#var float4 gl_Position : $vout.POSITION : HPOS : -1 : 1

That was just a little. Anyone got any ideas?
The computer I'm on has what looks like 4 Nvidia High Definition Audio cards? Also one Realtek High Definition Audio card.
I have no idea whats going on.

The first thing we suggest is installing the latest drivers for your video hardware. If you already have the latest, reinstall them to make sure the installation is clean. If that still fails, you can disable the waveforms in the mixxx.cfg file: change WaveformType to 0. That should at least allow Mixxx to start.

Can you help with this problem?
