lp:mixxx build fails , missing HSS1394 dev lib for OSX

Latest trunk http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~mixxxdevelopers/mixxx/trunk/revision/2581 fails to build on Mac OSX with default build options
 ....
Configuring HSS1394
Checking for C library libHSS1394... no
Checking for C library HSS1394... no
ERROR:root:Unmet dependency: Did not find HSS1394 development library, exiting!
....
I searched the web but did not find anything meaningful except this mixxx-devel message from Pegasus http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.multimedia.mixxx.devel/2806

For now i worked around the problem by using
"scons qtdir=/usr/local/Qt4.7 hss1394=0"

So where to find the library?

Albert has been able to build the library. I'm surprised he didn't add it to mixxx-maclib.
