directory layer

Asked by Dan Trevino

Can the directory layer be used for tracking physical resources as well? You certainly can in LDAP, and if one of the goals here is to enable collaboration for project type activities, this would be desirable.

I'm not sure I understand the question. By physical resources you mean users?

Users, equipment, "rooms" (even virtual ones), etc. Anything that may be needed as a resource for project completion.

Yes, that is the plan. This is something that would be more up to the Utilities developers, but it is definitely something that will be (actually already is) supported by the core system.

Can you help with this problem?
