Bookmarks on toolbar empty after adding

midori 0.5.10 issue on SUSE beta Leap 42.1

works fine on 0.5.8

add a bookmark (such as Google) select show in bookmarks bar

Places Google on the bookmarks bar -- but when clicked on there is no action says its empty.

Further checked by overwriting (via tar) midori config and .local (both midori and webkit) with
the 0.5.8 version -- all bookmaks show up -- but again they are empty.

Is this known or am I doing something wrong here?
Further is this a 'midori' issue of a SUSE one -- seems to be midori
but it could be webkit I guess.
