Security Library Suggestion

Asked by Cole

Hello,

I downloaded and tried out your browser and noticed that it handles security rather poorly.

SSL3 is enabled out of the gate, a bunch of obsolete cipher suites are enabled and based on some of your bug reports certificates aren't validated in all situations.

So, my suggestion is this, although I'm not sure how feasible this sounds would be replacing your security libraries with NSS and adopting this SSL/TLS deployment guide.

https://www.ssllabs.com/downloads/SSL_TLS_Deployment_Best_Practices.pdf

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Projects/NSS

Although, the PDF is geared towards server deployments. I feel it would be useful to be aware of this.

Thanks for reading.
