History malfunction

added midori 0.4.3 to debian wheezy ppc running on imac g4 1.25.

all history entries show under folder labeled “12/31/1969″ which duplicates/proliferates wildly in the history sidebar. I can clear history in Clear Private Data but then a new "12/31/1969" folder is again created for every new tab opened, each of which contains all new tabs opened since history clearance.

where is file I can edit to correct this behavior?
