midori is ugly with webkit2

Asked by A. Person on 2013-10-28

midori looks a lot nicer with webkit-1.x than 2.x on my Gentoo system. The tabs and toolbar and more compact and look more refined. I'm using xfce4 with the default theme. Could I have a misconfiguration or is this the look midori is moving into?

Webkit2 requires gtk3 (there was never gtk2 version of it) so maybe your theme is incomplete for gtk3?

Midori is fully supported with gtk3 but wk2 version is still a work in progress and not intended for day to day use yet.
