tab order

Asked by Matthew Boevink

A question about our tab handling.

If we have two tabs A and B. Viewing tab A I click a link which opens in tab C (Which opens by default next to A). If I close C should the active tab be changed to A or B? Currently it move upwards and goes to B which I believe to be in error? Yes no?

Midori doesn't track the tab usage, but the history-list extensions does.
However, moving downwards isn't right for all cases either -> tabs A, B, C - C ist active, change to B, close B

So we agree that the tab should return to the tab that opened it if available?

Dunno if this should be a default feature, but it's already implemented in history list.

I would put this under "would be nice to have always", maybe after release we can see how much effort it would be to move to core.
