How to open a new URL in a new tab instead of speed dial/blank page?

Is that possible? I want that each time I open a new tab to open a certain URL, for example https:/duckduckgo.com. I don't seem to find any option to enable that.

Yes, you can set your new tab page, for example https://duckduckgo.com under "new tab behaviour" where you set the startpage.
