How do I access saved bookmarks?

Asked by Tim Cuthbertson

I am using Midori for the first time, as it came as the default browser with Siduction. I can create bookmarks easily, but I have yet to figure out how to see and use the bookmarks I have created. Maybe I am stupid, but this function is completely hidden from me.

I found that right-clicking on the Menu icon allows me to select a "Bookmarkbar", but when I select it, a new bar is added, but it is entirely empty.

How do I use stored bookmarks in Midori?

Thank you.

You can either:
- enable 'menubar' which provides a 'Bookmarks' item
- activate the 'sidepanel' in the right-hand 'menu' or via f4/f9 (not sure which one is default)
- last, typing directly in the address field will auto-search the bookmarks

But I agree that the bookmarks are much too hidden when 'menubar' is disabled.

A crude way would be to use Export/Import as Netscape bookmarks. It should do the trick, but  some metadata could be missing, not sure. But it should work. Exporting as Netscape bookmarks could also have a side benefit of resulting file being simple html page that you can store/access with the browser easily.
