How deactivate text/image auto selection when move mouse in touchscreen use of midori

Asked by Jean Louis

Hi midori team,

I compile and run midori from git and I have a problem when run the application.

I use a touchscreen with midori and have a "parasite" icon or a "parasite" auto selection of text and/or images on web page when I touch the screen.

What portion of code could I patch for deactivate this behavior (because I don't see an existent option or parameter for that) ?

I have tried the MIDORI_TOUCHSCREEN variable but it's not enough.

I think it's around the katze-scrolled.c or midori-view.c but don't find the good way ...
or behavior derivated from webkit ?

Could you help me please ?

Regards, Jean-Louis.

It's derivated from webkit, for deactivate the behavior, modify the code HTML and add style "-webkit-user-select: none;".

Sample html code :

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
 <head>
  <style type="text/css" media="all">
   * {
    -moz-user-select: -moz-none;
    -khtml-user-select: none;
    -webkit-user-select: none;
    -o-user-select: none;
    user-select: none;
   }
  </style>
 </head>
 <body onselectstart="return false;" onmousedown="return false;">
  Text and image <img src="test.jpg" height="100" onclick="alert('click on image is ok')"></img>
 </body>
</html>

Bye
