Error when reading /P1_cc_zpcc_zp_epem/G62.22/results.dat for VBF process

Asked by Swasti Kalpeshkumar Rathod

I am generating events using the command `p p > zp j j, zp > e+ e-`
Till now, I could successfully generate events(for 16 runs), with my desired parameters and cuts . But suddenly, now I cannot generate events with the same parameters. I am unable to understand what went wrong with MadGraph. I am attaching the required files here.

Hi,

This sounds a filesystem issue more than a MadGraph issue.
So if you restart, it is likely going to work now, maybe check if you can run on a filesystem with better IO but I do not know the different system at CERN in order to help you on that.

Cheers,

Olivier

Yes. It works in another tab. Thank you.

your process is not VBF, you should give QCD=0 before the comma separation

@shjeon, I am actually just checking what other diagrams I can get without specifying any order.

I have attached an image of some of these diagrams, including gluon interactions.
I was wondering if these gluons will be detected as jets after hadronization in pythia. I am really not sure if I should be including them from an experimental point of view. It would be great if you could suggest something since I am a beginner.

it depends on your choice of what you want to do

your gluon vertex comes from g-g-h2 interaction (which i guess is another bsm particle) which is allowed in your model. do you want this to be included or not? if so, it's fine.
if not, you can suppress the coupling or enlarge the mass to make it negligible OR give some other restrictions (like defining protons without gluons) OR something else
