question on cross-section

Asked by Yongik Jang

Hi,

I have a question about how MG5 calculate cross-section.
What's the difference between "Current estimate of cross-section" and the final result?
I am calculating cross-section of w+{0} w-{0} > a > e+{L} e-{R} using EVA, and my calculation is almost identical with "Current estimate of cross-section".

Thank you.

Conceptually none, it just that we check based on that number which channel that still need to be refined to reduced their error or increase the number of events and that will therefore change the estimator for those channel and therefore the final result that we do report.
