feynrule models conflict

Asked by Shaoqiu Chen

Hi, I apologize if this is not directly related to MadGraph, but I am having many issues with running FeynRules 2.3 with mathematical 14.0 in a ubuntu 20.04 virtual machine.

I am trying to load the ALPs_EFT model (https://feynrules.irmp.ucl.ac.be/wiki/ALPsEFT) fr file and the SM.fr simultaneously in a Mathematica notebook. Whenever I load the ALP fr file after loading SM.fr, I would get an error “Model-file already loaded,” even if I am on a brand new Mathematica notebook. This error would then lead to some recursion limit error. Here is an example of the error.

LoadModel: Warning: Model-file already loaded! Definitions might have been overwritten. LoadModel: Warning: Model-file already loaded! Definitions might have been overwritten.
$RecursionLimit: Recursion depth of 2500 exceeded.

Thank you very much. I couldn't find any related information on the internet.

I also could not find ways to contact the people from Feynrule, so providing a contact info would also be appreciated.

I fixed the problem by loading the two fr file in the same command with SM.fr on the front.

Hi,

Sorry, I have never used FeynRules, so can not help.
In the case of FeynRules, I think the best is to send an email to the various author of the tools.

Cheers,

Olivier
