How do I impose my own cuts in MadEvent ?

Hi,
We need to several cuts on leptons or jets and so on, but when we have applied cuts on run_card.dat and even we make analysis=OFF , we do not get any changes in output(cross-section). How to impose several cuts in MadGraph?

Are those lepton/jet(i.e quark or gluon) coming from onshell decay.
Like
generate p p > t t~, (t > w+ b, w+ > l+ vl), (t~ > w- b~, w- > l- vl~)

In that case, you need to set cut_decays = True to apply cut on those particles.
If not then using the cuts in the run_card is the correct method to apply parton-level cut.
