Madspin - WHgamma process in pp collision

Dear experts,

    We are trying a process p p > w h [QCD], then h > b b~ a to get the FSR contribution from b quark for the WHgamma simulation. However, even if we added "set spinmode none" in the madspin card to achieve 1>3 decay, we still encountered with two problems.

(1) one is when we generate the grid-pack, it seems that MG5(Madspin) will remind us with RED color "Cleaning SubProcesses.
CRITICAL: The number of event generated is only 2167/6000. This typically indicates that you need specify cut on the decay process.
CRITICAL: We strongly suggest that you cancel/discard this run."

   we are unsure if it will cause potential problems because the grid-pack can be generated successfully.

(2) even if we have generated grid pack, but we can not regenerate events with it, it informed us "Command "systematics cmsgrid_decayed_1 --start_id=1001 --pdf=325500,320900,11082,13091@0,13191@0,13202@0,23100,23300,23490,23600,23790,25410,25510,25570,25605,25620,25710,25770,25805,25840,92000,306000,320500,260400,262400@0,263400@0,292000,292400@0 --mur=1,2,0.5 --muf=1,2,0.5 --together=muf,mur --dyn=-1" interrupted with error:
InvalidCmd : Invalid run name. Please retry" and with some other errors shown before (more details can be checked in attached log file(6)).

Could you remind us of the possible reasons for the errors? and would you mind giving us some suggestions about how to simulate the process? Thanks.

Hi,

Here indeed I would expect that you have to put some cut on the photon to avoid soft/collinear divergency.
If the b is massive collinear should be regulated by the b mass but you would still have the soft divergence which would make this branching ratio infinite.

In spin mode none, you can provide a run_card to specify such type of cuts.
