Failed to load the lhapdf, eMELA, fastjet

Asked by Sagar Modak

When I am trying to run MadGraph, I am having this error while launching the application:

load MG5 configuration from input/mg5_configuration.txt
fastjet-config does not seem to correspond to a valid fastjet-config executable (v3+). We will use fjcore instead.
Please set the 'fastjet'variable to the full (absolute) /PATH/TO/fastjet-config (including fastjet-config).
 MG5_aMC> set fastjet /PATH/TO/fastjet-config

eMELA-config does not seem to correspond to a valid eMELA-config executable.
Please set the 'fastjet'variable to the full (absolute) /PATH/TO/eMELA-config (including eMELA-config).
 MG5_aMC> set eMELA /PATH/TO/eMELA-config

lhapdf-config does not seem to correspond to a valid lhapdf-config executable.
Please set the 'lhapdf' variable to the (absolute) /PATH/TO/lhapdf-config (including lhapdf-config).
Note that you can still compile and run aMC@NLO with the built-in PDFs
 MG5_aMC> set lhapdf /PATH/TO/lhapdf-config

None does not seem to correspond to a valid lhapdf-config executable.

I am using version 3.5.1

Any solution for this? I also tried to run other versions on different systems- one mac and two ubuntu systems, but surprisingly, I got the same error for all those systems.

Did you install the associate package? Those are optional package which are not distributed/maintaind by us. (and typically which license that implies that we can not distribute them).
Depending of your usage of our code, you might need (or not) those packages to be installed.

If you need any of those, you can try to run within MG5aMC "install XXXXX" to install those.
If this does not work, then go to the website of the associated tools, download their source and install it manually.
(and then edit those variable within input/mg5_configuration.txt to tell MG5aMC where those packages are installed).

Cheers,

Olivier
