Calculation of Branching ratios for tz FCNC

Asked by Abdullah Bin Saqlain

Hi,
So I have simulated ugtz and cgtz FCNC processes using madgraph but I was wondering is there any way to calculate branching ratios of these processes and if so how can I do that within madgraph. If there are other softwares specialized in that then do let me know as I want to analyze the variation of branching ratios over cross sections for same event

Did you check, this paper: 1402.1178

In short you can compute partial and total width by setting "auto" in the param_card of MG5_aMC.
Depending of the UFO model, you will use analytical formula (for two body decay only) computed by FeynRules and/or numerical integration of the phase-space (three body decay or more and if needed two body decay).

You also have the way to pre-computed the partial/total width of a particle without running the full code.
You will find dedicated tool in the reference of that paper (and maybe more recent tools will be in the paper that cited this paper).

Cheers,

Olivier
