NLO diboson +2 jets generation without specifying alpha_EW order

Dear All,

I'm working on WZjj production and am interested on VBS WZ. If I understand well, if not QED order is specified in production, then only diagrams with max QCD order are produced, but this is more complex in QCD NLO generation. Then, just to be completely sure, when asking for:

generate p p > wpm z [QCD] @0
add process p p > wpm z j [QCD] @1
add process p p > wpm z j j [QCD] @2

NO purely electroweak WZjj diagrams are included there, right? In order to also include them one more line should be added, asking explicitely for this?

I do not think that doing a FxFx merging generation for WZ is possible, if you want to include within that computation the EW part of the WZjj.

But Rikkert work in such kind of merging at NLO, so it might be possible now.

Hi Iro,

Indeed, with your setup you only get the QCD induced production of WZ (+jets). If you want to include the VBS production of WZjj, you'll have to generate a completely independent process (i.e., not combined with the QCD-induced processes) and generate events independently, selecting at process generate stage exactly which compling orders you would like to include.

(As Olivier is saying, FxFx merging doesn't work for the VBS WZjj production -- hence, additional jets on top of the two that are there already cannot be included through with this method).
