Madgraph

Asked by Fatima

Dear All,
I am trying to generate this process: pp -> Z, Z -> e+ e- mu+ mu-. It can be generated by involving the Z* and gamma mediators. I want to remove the Z* mediator.
This command dose not work generate p p >Z, Z > e+ e- mu+ mu- / Z
Are there ways to delete Z* mediator?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards

Hi,

What you try to do is diagram filtering.
Removing Feynman Diagram is dangerous since it can break gauge and lorentz invariance.
So you need to be carefull when you do that and check lorentz invariance of your result.

The syntax
> generate p p >Z, Z > e+ e- mu+ mu- $$ Z

should do what you ask for.

Cheers,

Olivier
