Convert a .slha file to param_card.dat

Asked by Thomas Guérandel

Dear Madgraph experts,

Is there a way to convert the .slha file to param_card.dat file offline ? I've look at the download page but don't find anything.
And for the online tool, I have the error :
Generation failed
The resulting /var/www/htdocs/MadGraphData//Cards/param_card_45.dat could not be opened.
Click the "backwards" button in you browser and correct the error.
Is there a link to the server maintenance ?

I appreciate any feedback and many thanks in advance,
Thomas

Hi,

We do not use/support those old converter any more.
MG5aMC has internal converter that are trigger automatically when needed.

You can also trigger them manually if needed but the method is a bit complex.

1) You need to generate a madevent output
like
generate p p > t t~
output
launch -i
then bypass the first question
then at the second question, start by passing the path to your .slha
then type "update to_slha1" (or "update to_slha2" depending to the format that you need).

Normally, the MSSM_SLHA2 model will automatically call that "update" command if the param_card is within the slha1 format.

If your spectrum is in the correct format but miss the SM component, you can use the command update missing
that will add the missing part of the file.

Cheers,

Olivier
