Cluster Error detected. Do you want to clean the queue?

Dear Madgraph developers
When running madgraph for any process, for instance

generate p p > w+ w-

I am getting the error message during the launch stage

Cluster Error detected. Do you want to clean the queue? ("c"=continue the run anyway) [y, n, c][60s to answer]

after which I get

Command "generate_events run_01" interrupted with error:
AttributeError : 'list' object has no attribute 'clear'

I am using
Python 2.7.18.

The log file is relatively big, but I can copy and paste sections of it it required.

Hi,

Thanks for reporting. Did you try 2.9.14? I know that I have fixed that python2.7 issue so in principle it should be in that release.
(if not I can find the patch which should be ready for the next release).

PS: Sorry, but I have to add the disclaimer that we technically do not support python2.7 anymore.
Which means that we do not validate that our code is running with that version of python.

Can you help with this problem?
