Pythia8 at NLO (pythia8.hep no such file or directory)

Asked by Thomas Cousin

Dear MG5 expert,

I'm trying to run mg5 at NLO with pythia8. Pythia8 work well when "generate p p > e+ ve" but not when "generate p p > e+ ve [QCD]" at both LO and NLO.

Could you please help me ?

Here is what I get when the process stop :

Looks like an issue that pythia8 does not find the PDF.
Maybe one solution is to force the download of the PDF by lhapdf.

But this is just a guess.

Cheers,

Olivier

Thanks for your answer.

Is lhapdf needed to run mg5 at NLO with pythia ? Because I have an issue while liking lhapdf to mg5 ( same as question 705765).
So I'll try to fix it first.

Thanks a lot,

Thomas

Thanks Olivier Mattelaer, that solved my question.
