install command in v3.4.1

Asked by Roshan Mammen Abraham

Hello,

I recently downloaded Madgraph v3.4.1. Inside it I typed "install pythia8" but it failed with message "MG5_aMC>install: missing destination file operand after ‘pythia8’". Did the install command change from v3.4.0 to v3.4.1?

I then tried
"install pythia8 -d /scratch/rmammen/MG5_aMC_v3_4_1/HEPTools" but this failed too in the sense there were no error messages but nothing happened too. The instructions displayed after "install --help" weren't too helpful.

Can you help me with this?

Thank you,
Roshan

No nothing change, but that command rely on a online infrastructure.
Currently, both mirror are up and running and does not seem to have any issue.

Can you retry?
If it fails can you copy-paste the debug file that should be generated? and the log onscreen such that I know which mirror has been used.

Cheers,

Olivier
