problem with smelt

Asked by Zhaowei Song

I'm trying to run g g > h > h h with smeft but failed
MG5_aMC>generate g g > h > h h aS=2 aEW=2 [QCD]
change syntax aEW=2 to QED^2=4 to correspond to UFO model convention
Interpreting 'QED^2=4' as 'QED^2<=4'
change syntax aS=2 to QCD^2=4 to correspond to UFO model convention
Interpreting 'QCD^2=4' as 'QCD^2<=4'
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
 No Born diagrams found. Now switching to the loop-induced mode.
 Please also cite ref. 'arXiv:1507.00020' when using results from this mode.

Hi,

I do not know all the model (and in particular I do not know a model named either smelt or smeft). so I can not comment on the syntax needed on those model.

I can comment that in the Standard Model you do not want to use the (technically valid) syntax:
 g > h > h h
since you have large interference between the triangle contribution (that you select with the above syntax) and the box contribution (that you do not include). Consequently, your prediction will be wrong with your syntax.

Cheers,

Olivier
