Renormalization scheme on MadLoop5

Asked by Halley_X

Hi,

I’m using the MadLoop standalone mode implemented by MadGraph5_aMC@NLO to compute the EW loop correction to a process. I just need to know the renormalization scheme used by Madloop for the EW calculation. It looks like that alpha(M_Z) scheme is used in the code. Could you confirm that, or let me know if another scheme is used?

Thanks,
Halley

Hi,
if you load the model
loop_qcd_qed_sm
then it corresponds to the alpha(mz) scheme
You can also use
loop_qcd_qed_sm_Gmu
which employs the Gmu scheme

In either case you can turn the complex-mass scheme on or off, according to your needs.

Best wishes,
