How to implement isr in MG5

Asked by Rishabh

Hi

I want to model isr effects to study a process for ILC in Madgraph. I have MG5_aMC_v2_6_7 version, I downloaded the MGISR plugin, but it says MG5_aMC_v2_6_6, so I tried to find this version but it is no longer there in the download section in 2_6_X part. Can I use MGISR plugin with MG5_aMC_v2_6_7,if yes how because just copying it to the PLUGIN directory does seem to work. I copied all the files from "MGISR" including __init__.py into the plugin directory, but didn't work.

If MGISR is not compatible with 2_6_7 where can I download 2_6_6 version. Or am I missing something here.

Thanks!

Regards
Rishabh

Hi,

MGISR is not a plugin develop by us (even if I provide them some support).
So I do not know which version is needed for such code.

However, I would like to point you to this paper: 2108.10261
which correspond to version 3.2.0 of MG5aMC which includes in particular ISR in a native way (and other collider specific effect).

Cheers,

Olivier

 Hi,
For the beamstrahlung, they are already an implemetation working but not include in any official release:
you can find it here:
lp:~maddevelopers/mg5amcnlo/2.5.3_lep<https://code.launchpad.net/~maddevelopers/mg5amcnlo/2.5.3_lep>
This is not based on any parametrisation (like CIRCE) but on some beam profile that you need to specify

For ISR, a plugin exists: https://github.com/qliphy/MGISR.
I am happy to give the answers to other people's questions. Basically, I am a content writer and am working on a project https://besttennisreviews.com/ and also interested technical issues.

Can you help with this problem?
