Generating higgs decay to vector meson

Asked by Yehia Abdelaziz

Hey there, I am new to all of this so bear with me. The thing is I want to generate a process where a higgs boson decays into a vector meson and a photon but I can't do this in madgraph there isn't any meson options in madgraph, I can't find a meson particle how should I do it?

Thanks

Hi,

You need first to find a UFO model that correspond to your model/physics that you want to consider.
then you can import such model within MG5aMc via the command "import model".

If you do not find the model that you are looking for online. Then you will need to implement it yourself in FeynRules (or other similar code).

Cheers,

Olivier

The thing is the interaction is supposed to be a standard model interaction.

The standard model does not have any vector meson.
So the same answer holds, you need to have a dedicated UFO model with the information about that interaction if you want to have that part within MG5aMC.

It's been quite a while since I've worked with made graph yet from what I recollect you can't determine specific hadronic last states, you can say that the Higgs rots hadronically. I think the documentation was something like h > u u~ an or h > j a. The predefined quarks or planes then hadronize as per material science models (alter: done by Pythia I think?). You could possibly select a few occasions which produced your ideal vector meson, but since of the enormous accessible stage space of hadrons, these specific occasions will be exceptionally interesting.https://smokerssnicket.com/

Can you help with this problem?
