Some tests failed, run cannot continue

Asked by mohamed meziani kada

Hello,

I have tried to generate p p > w+ w- aS=0 aEW=9 [QED] process. . The version of my Madgraph is 3.1.1.

I got this error when I was trying generate events:

raise aMCatNLOError('Some tests failed, run cannot continue

Any help please

I am wondering if you could help me.

Dear Mohamed,

with your command the code is loading by default the model

loop_qcd_qed_sm

and doing on-shell renormalisation.
However, W and Z widths have to be set to zero for consistency, if you set the widths to zero in the param_card it should work.

My suggestion is anyway that you load the model

import model loop_qcd_qed_sm_Gmu

which uses the Gmu scheme for renormalisation, a better option for this process.
You can also directly load

loop_qcd_qed_sm_Gmu-no_widths

so that widths are automatically zero.

Cheers
Davide

Dear Davide,

thank you for your reply

I restarted the process by importing the model loop_qcd_qed_sm_Gmu
and I get the same error message:

Did you open the param_card.dat and set the decay widths to zero?

Otherwise as said, load loop_qcd_qed_sm_Gmu-no_widths

If you do not set manually the widths to zero, it is important that the model ending with -no_widths is imported.

Dear David

I'm sorry for the delay. I actually opened the param_card.dat and i set the decay widths to zero. I then launched the calculations. i am working on an i3 pc, so the calculations are not complete yet. The main thing is that the previously reported error is no longer there.

Cheers
Mohamed
