Quark-associated production in MG

Asked by Sergei Chekanov

In one of our ATLAS analysis, we are looking for a possibility to generate Z' (coupled to quarks) using qauark-associated production.
It is like VBF production, only instead W/Z there is a quark line, and Z' comes from that line.
This diagram looks like this: http://jwork.org/tmp/qap.png

Do you have suggestions on how to create such events (I'll decay Z' in Pythia8)

Which UFO model are you planning to use?

You have a couple that could fit on this page I guess:

Hi, Oliver

Unfortunately, I could not detect it (it is pity such models to not include Feynman diagrams to easy navigation). If I would replace Z' with a gluon, this diagram is the standard 3-level O(alpha_s^2 * alpha) diagram for 3-jet production. I just want to replace this gluon with Z' and assume that coupling Z'-q is 1.

best, Sergei

I would say that the most promising model are
DY SM extension <http://feynrules.irmp.ucl.ac.be/wiki/DY-SM>
Effective Left-Right Symmetric Model <http://feynrules.irmp.ucl.ac.be/wiki/EffLRSM>
Minimal Zp models <http://feynrules.irmp.ucl.ac.be/wiki/B-L-SM>
Top-philic Zprime <http://feynrules.irmp.ucl.ac.be/wiki/Top-Philic-Zprime>
Wprime <http://feynrules.irmp.ucl.ac.be/wiki/Wprime>

Cheers,

Olivier

Thanks Olivier Mattelaer, that solved my question.
