How do I convert .hep files into .root files ?

How do I convert .hep files into .root files ? I am used to doing analysis with python and loading the data with uproot3, I have no idea how to use .hep or .hepmc (from pythia8) , and googling has not helped much

Hi,

The HepMC3 package provides a conversion tool, as far as I know.
Don't know if it is what you want.

Can you help with this problem?
