What is factorisation and renormalisation scale in 2 > 1 process

Asked by Ezequiel Alvarez

Dear All,

I read from 1507.00020 that if in run_card.dat I choose

-1 = dynamical_scale_choice

then at LO the Renormalisation and Factorisation scales are "transverse mass of the 2 → 2 system resulting of a kT clustering".

But since I am only producing one partiicle that does not decay (p p > h for instance), then to what Renormalisation and Factorisation scale corresponds ?

Thank you very much! Ezequiel.
