asymmetry in gluon quark interaction?

Asked by LIGANG XIA

Dear MG group,

I am generating " g u > b W+, W+ > l+ vl" events using the model "sm-ckm". I tried to construct the rapidity of the final state, eta(bjet+lepton+missing transverse energy), and observed that the distribution is asymmetric (it seems not due to statistical fluctuation.). I am wondering whether the following two processes are different or not. Could you please confirm?

g u > b W+
u g > b W+

Best regards,
Ligang

Indeed g u > b W+
means that the gluon is coming with positive pz momenta and the up quark will have negative pz momenta.
adding u g > b W+
will add the symmetric contribution

Olivier
