Failing to generate root file

Asked by Debajyoti Sengupta on 2020-11-11

Hello all,

I am trying to generate a t t~ process with madgraph.

I am working on a cluster - all goes well until the final step where it says

Command "generate_events run_04" interrupted with error:
Exception : program /home/users/s/senguptd/UniGe/Generation/MG5_aMC_v2_8_2/ttbar/Events/run_04/PY8_parallelization/split_0/run_PY8.sh 0 launch ends with non zero status: 1. Stop all computation
Please report this bug on https://bugs.launchpad.net/mg5amcnlo
More information is found in '/home/users/s/senguptd/UniGe/Generation/MG5_aMC_v2_8_2/ttbar/run_04_tag_1_debug.log'.
Please attach this file to your report.

What is the content of the following directory?
/home/users/s/senguptd/UniGe/Generation/MG5_aMC_v2_8_2/ttbar/Events/run_04/PY8_parallelization/split_0/

Do you have a log file inside?
What is the content of that file?

My guess that this is a Pythia8 configuration issue. and that the above log will contains information about it.

Cheers,

Olivier
