about decay length information

Asked by rojalin padhan

Hii,

I want to know about the decay length information which is written in the lhe file. According to the FAQ, https://answers.launchpad.net/mg5amcnlo/+question/403936 , this decay length is in the rest frame decaying particle, with out including the boost factor. Then it should be just one value, which is the inverse of total decay width. But I found different value for different events. If I plot those values I am getting an exponentially decaying distribution.

Could you please help me to know about why I am getting different values decay length for different event?

thanks,
rojalin

No the point of this entry is to have the time after which that particle decay (and therefore this should indeed looks like an exponential).

Cheers,

Olivier
