question on checking the matched sample

What is the best method to check if the MLM jet merging has been performed properly in a generated sample (say matched sample of the sum of pp>X+j and pp>X+jj) ?

I would not be able to help you on that code.
You can try to contact the author of the code but looks like he quits physics 10 years ago.
