aMCatNLOError : Some tests failed, run cannot continue.

Hello,

I try to calculate the ww production by MG5 at NLO accuracy with 4 flavor scheme. I need to include the CKM matrix for the mixing between the first and second generation quarks. It shows the following error,

 Please check that widths of final state particles (e.g. top) have been set to 0 in the param_card.dat.

I also modified the " param_card.dat" since I only want to include the mixing between first and second generation quarks, to avoid the top quark resonance impact,

The problem should from the flavor changing subprocess, for example:u+c~->w+ w-.
When I go to the folder P0_ucx_wpwm and use "./check_poles", it shows all the poles and born matrix element is very small for the benchmark phase space, for example,

I also checked if I only use the diagonal CKM, there is no problem (model loop-sm)

Could you give me any suggestions to solve the problem?
i.e. to calculate WW production with 4-flavor and include the CKM mixing between the first and second generation quarks

Hi,
I have reproduced your error, I will have a look and let you know (we almost never use that model, so there may be issues...)
As a side note. You probably want to completely remove the top contribution (also in the t channel), rather than vetoing it in the s-channel only. The syntax is
/ t t~
instead of $$ t t~

Hi,
It looks like there are almost exact (14-16 digits) cancelations among diagrams in some subprocesses, which are those where the tests fail.
For example, d sbar > w+ w-, those with up and charm. May it be that 2x2 unitarity is assumed in the model?
We have like Vus Vud in the first diag, and in the second Vcs Vcd

Thank you very much. Yes, you are right, there are cancelations and no contribution from CKM and we can use diagonal CKM to do the calculation if we ignore third generation quarks' contribution.
